Description

Had a bit of fun with this. I basically took a load of pictures of myself and whacked them together and painting over the bits I wanted to alter.
In the end it was a pretty quick photo bash painting. Maybe on the next one I'll do one with a bit more of a dynamic composition.

These guys are fantasy (from the Cevadoth kingdom in my old map I made ages ago), and historically based on the late 17th century.

Like the matchlock style. Hmm, if they are part of a magic fantasy, the issue of breech sealing is more easily solved by using alchemy to create a round that fits the breech and ensures the round goes forward with no gas ejection into the firer's face. This would up the fire rate to 10 rounds a minute, but buildup of residue means after 40 rounds, the breech is harder to close and after 60 rounds, the musketeers have to retire and clean out the barrel and cool it down. The process would involve dumping water down the hot barrel and then tilting the barrel to the ground, which removes half the gunk, then using a cleaning rod to finish clearing the gunk.

Hmm, with magic, it is possible to create higher temperature tolerances in the barrel which can take a higher burning temperature primary explosive which in turn leaves less gunk in the barrel and increases the time the musketeers can spend shooting before they have to pull off and clean their weapons. This of course ignores sore shoulders from repeated recoils, and effects of smoke blowing in their faces, etc.
