Most impressive. I have always found the design of the armor sets of the different periods to be most interesting.
Influenced perchance by Knyght Errant's latest video on sallets? Seems oddly close within each other Lovely work as usual. I'm envious of the use of colours.
Thanks! It was a bit of a coincidence to be honest I had been working on this during the week and when I upload it, Knyght Errant had done something very similar haha! I can assure you it wasn't copied
very nice work here even with the internal padding
Awesome! I'm so excited you're taking on the 1450-1550 period.
That is very cool.
Beautiful Work. I always found it a bit ironic that medieval helmets give more protection than modern ones
They certainly give more coverage! Field of vision and being able to put the stock of the rifle into the cheek to aim better is more important. I'm not sure if there are prototypes with modern helmets covering more of the face or neck. Would be very futuristic indeed!
I never thought of that before that medieval helmets gives more all round protection! There have been prototypes of medieval style helmets that give all round cover that were developed in the First World War but I guess they never caught on.
Why you not draw a prototype? That certainly would be worth a look.
