Of course! you're right :) even in Europe, there were matchlock muskets involved in battles with fully armoured soldiers. Kind of that 1550s to early 17th century period. Fun to work with!

Oh yes, I also have a personal fantasy setting project in that time period (currently). In one particular empire, several of your images would fit right in, with more mail/lamellar and some of the standard races*.

*Which is both thought-provoking and a headache when it comes to tactics. Like how it makes more sense for dwarves to employ phalanxes ('the earth flanks us!") in tunnel-fighting instead of axes, and human pikemen can be taken from the front by "lowly" goblins stabbing from the feet up to the groin ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=625iTK… ).

...And that's without taking magic into account, which delayed and then motivated the adoption of gunpowder.

Honestly, were it not by the current R$-dollar exchange rate and a few recent problems, I would've commissioned something from you by now.

That sounds really cool. That battle scene with pikemen at each other is a good scene :)
I am an in house artist at the moment, so I wouldn't be able to work for you, sorry.
